The Handy Hobo bag pattern is an easy to carry hobo bag that hugs the body comfortably and has a convenient double front pocket and 2 decorative back pockets. The handle has instructions to make it longer or shorter for a cross body design or an over the shoulder handle. There are 4 additional pockets inside (or 2 – your choice) to help keep you organized. The finished size is approximately 14 ” wide (at widest point across front pocket) x 11 ½” (from bottom of bag to just above magnetic snap). The handle drop is approximately 18”.

This PDF pattern has 53 total pages of illustrations, photos, and instructions, as well as 12 additional pages of bonus instructions - just print them out and take them to your sewing room! Also included is 6 pages of pattern pieces - just print them, cut the pieces out following the instructions, and tape them together.

Materials Needed: (44/45" cotton fabric)

• Fabric A – 3/4 yards
• Fabric B – 1 yard 
• Canvas Backing (or Duck Cloth) for Interfacing – 3/4 yard (44/45” wide)
• Magnetic snap
• Matching thread
• Piping – 17” long in matching or contrasting color (or make your own – See our piping tutorial.
• Fusible Interfacing – (1) piece measuring 2” wide x 26” long (Backing for handle) and (1) piece measuring 1” x 1”(To re-enforce magnetic snap)
